Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation Review

Hey there guys,

Hope your all good, I got this foundation a couple of weeks ago after waiting a while to purchase.  There has been a lot of hype around it as it claims to have a ‘pore blurring effect’ and ’24HR moisture hydration’, big claims for a budget foundation.

As I have said before I have a real soft spot for Rimmel foundations, they are great quality and long-lasting at fab prices!  They have a great range of shades too for people ranging from very pale skin to those who are quite dark (so you no longer have to be the usual beige shade!!!) which can be very hard to get in an affordable foundation. All of their foundations also contain a minimum of SPF 15 which is added protection on top of the SPF you already use.

So onto the RIMMEL MATCH PERFECTION foundation, I wanted to use it for a while before giving you a review, it’s the only fair way with any skin care product or foundation in my opinion.  This comes in 12, yes 12 shades from Light Porclein to Deep Mocha, I use shade 200 Soft Beige .  On first impression the consistency is actually quite thick which I thought was going to be very heavy on my skin but when I applied it with my brush it actually blended very well, I usually use 1 pump of my other foundations but I did find I was putting maybe another 1/2 a pump on to get my desired look.  This is medium coverage foundation but is buildable to full and it does make your pores appear less obvious and improves the appearance of imperfections whilst not looking caked on.

I personally found the finish to be more of a demi-matte not dewy as I have heard other people describe it, I have an oily T-zone and found that I didn’t need to use powder at all with this foundation.  I wouldn’t recommend it for people with dry skin I think that it could gather on the dry flaky parts and look very cakey or if you do make sure to give yourself a good exfoliation beforehand.  It lasts really well too I apply mine most mornings before 8.30 and by 9pm when I go to remove my makeup it was still looking good!

Price wise Rimmel do it again and this little star costs €9.99!!  So I definitely would recommend Rimmel Match Perfection for you to try especially if you have normal to oily skin it is a gem, it has definitely taken its place with its sister Rimmel foundations on my shelf.  You can buy in most pharmacies or from Boots here.
