My day out at the RDS Beauty Show 2016

Hey there Girls,

So on Sunday week ago (13th) I went to the Beauty Show in the RDS simmonscourt with a friend of mine,  well actually the whole family set out for a day out!!!! My husband took the girlies to see their granny and grandad in Dublin allowing me a nice few hours (maybe too many) to breeze around the show, well it wasn’t exactly breeze because  there was an insane amount of women in the one area all looking for beauty products with some nice discounts but it was certainly more manageable without 4 kiddies in tow!  It was amazing, huge in fact I went with a clear idea of what I wanted, brushes

being THE most important thing and nothing new to you guys I headed straight for the Blank Canvas Cosmetics stand, these are my fav brushes.  It was pure madness women everywhere and the gorgeous Jen Morris of Too Dolly Makeup was doing her thang on the stand, after watching Jen I attempted to make my way in to look, feel and purchase brushes.  Aaaaaarrrrgggghhh it was crazy eventually got in and decided to get the box set of 12 brushes and then an E28, E40, E41 and a brush belt which all came to €71, fab!!! The box of brushes alone on the day was worth (with the show discounts) €85 so I was very happy with that and great additions to my kit.  I then met the stunning Charlene of Charlene Flanagan Makeup, my nerves where shot I’m not a confident person so to approach someone I admire was sweat inducing!!! But she was so so nice and friendly, in all my nerves I forgot to take a photo with her, as I did on a couple of occasions throughout the day!!!

We came across the Paese stand, I’ve never tried their products before but girls the quality of their shadows and argan oil lipstick is really good, I picked up 2 individual Kashmir matte shadows 667 and 604 and their Argan oil lipstick in 24 it’s a fab pinky browny shade (great description!) which is really moisturising and so so reasonable, truly the colour payoff from their products is great, I’ll definitely be purchasing more. You can purchase online or to check out stockists click here.

I also picked up some Cocoa Brown instant tan gel with shimmer and a mitt, which by the way feels amazing it’s like velvet!!! Saw the amazing Marissa Carter but the queue to meet her was phenomenal, she seemed nice taking time to talk to everyone who queued to meet her.

Next stop was Fuschia, a fab Irish brand and drooled over all their Pre filled palettes and finally decided on their Sandstorm collection of eye dusts, ooohhhh the shimmer I’m like a little girl when I see sparkle, I want!!! These are all earthy neutral tones, very wearable and easy to incorporate into so many looks, I used the sand beige as a highlighter on the inner corner of the eye on a model at the weekend and it was amazing.  These where €20 so great value (as originally they where €65!!!!) you can check out Fuschia here.

At this stage it was time to escape or else I couldn’t say what damage I would have done, I was so so happy with what I got and I got some great deals on great products so that’s a winner for me!!

Did you go to the beauty show?? If you did what did you purchase?? Let me know.

Till next time lovelies,

Sarah xxx
